Difference Is Power is a mural created in collaboration with Jess Sabogal for the UC San Francisco School of Nursing. The mural celebrates pioneering nurses from diverse backgrounds whose work and advocacy helped transform health care and advance diversity and inclusion in the nursing profession. Combining portraits of four pioneering nurses with imagery honoring the individuals, groups, and organizations that helped shape the history of nursing, the mural grew out of student calls for more diverse and contemporary representations of the nursing community.
